<p>we are 35yrs old this year.had a strong sporting and academic background which has dwindled our the past few years.currently there are 16 educators here who are trying their level best to improve the quality of teaching and learning in eldo\'s from grade R to grade 7.our learners numbering 428 have&nbsp;huge social and welfare challenges that we have to contend with on&nbsp; daily basis from violence, abuse including neglect from illiterate parents and guardians.<br />currently our school is going undergoing a&nbsp;massive face lift and will look beautiful next year.there is som hope that our&nbsp;learners will finally love coming to school as it will look better than their&nbsp;homes,thus creating a subtle haven for them.in themorning they&nbsp;should rush out of their homes and arrive at school as their homes are places that are not conducive for living.<br />we offer english as a&nbsp;first language and afrikaans as a second language.the parents were insistent on leaving english&nbsp;as their first language&nbsp;due to the demands placed on the world to speak a universal language.our learners are grappling to overcome the barriers to learning by thaking instruction in a foreign learning language.<br />much strides have&nbsp;been made to improve&nbsp;our sporting ability and we have&nbsp;been partially successful.motivating parents and learners alike that come from these impoverished conditions is a very difficult task.they deal with bread and butter issues on a daily basis and dont&nbsp;have much time for any of maslows higher order thinking skills. it is with great sadness that we have to watch our learners come to school hungry and laeve with some sustainance as this might be the only meal they have for the day.<br />being inappropriately dressed in the winter is another pain staking ordeal to contend with.<br />many of our&nbsp;parents&nbsp;dont have much of a choice regarding these matters as they living in informal settlements also known as squatter camps.<br />their level of education does not allow them to help their children with homework.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
