About The Key School For Specialised Education (autism)
<p>The Key School admits children with the diagnosis of autism. Parents and children go through a screening process and if a child needs can be met by the school, s/he is offered a place. The school offers classroom intervention (TEACCH, Makaton, aspects of ABA, PECS, routines, visual schedules, etc) as well as speech and language therapy, occupational therpay and play therapy.<br />The staff are highly qualified and consist of teachers, relavant therapists, class assistants, a business manger and a principal.<br />Parents play an important role in the school and are continually supported through individual and group meetings. The psychologist is available to counsel parents.</p>
