Despite facing fierce competition from the predominantly male team of Jeppe High School, the Rand Park girls held their ground and proudly finished as runners-up in the overall rankings. Piper de Klerk, sharing her experience, expressed her satisfaction with her overall performance, especially considering it was her final season of school orienteering. She highlighted the challenges faced, including the need for sharp navigational skills and stamina.
